SIMULATION OF THE SEPARATION/COFERENCE PROCESS IN A MEDICINE DISTRIBUTOR

This work aimed to study the separation and conference process of a medicine distributor in the interior of São Paulo and to carry out a simulation using the Arena software. The current approach is derived from the qualitative concept of PD, using this concept, managers can gain a deeper understanding of the problem. To build this article, bibliographical, historical, descriptive, quantitative research and the case study were used, with time collection. With the data acquired, the simulation was completed and it can be seen that the longest queuing time (Waiting) was related to the separation process of group L, and the group that obtained the shortest time would be the conference group C. With the data regarding the use of checkers and separators are not above 85%, which are satisfactory, according to theory. Thus, it was understood that there are no bottlenecks to be improved, as the simulation system carried out demonstrated that the company's reality meets all work demands.
