Abstract

For industries it is of great importance to measure the performance of equipment, since the way in which they are managed contributes to the performance of companies. the operation of the equipment is mostly related to production and the quality and efficiency of this determine the survival of the company. This article aims to describe the concept of OEE and highlight a case study that compares the performance measurement of two machines belonging to a food products industry. The methodology used was a literature review with Google Scholar research for theoretical foundation and field research in a renowned food products industry. The results found point to the importance of OEE within the industry in question, and make it clear that knowing the performance of the equipment is of great importance to verify productivity, quality, performance and availability, factors of importance for the growth of the company and maintenance of quality. of what is produced.
