NAGIOS – MONITORING THE HEALTH OF SERVICES, SYSTEMS AND NETWORK DEVICES

Abstract

Monitoring services and network devices is highly significant and important in an organization, it will inform where and why a service does not perform its function more adequately and effectively. This study aims to implement the Nagios tool to provide better control and monitor the health of services, as well as to analyze their performance. Its methodology is to collect data from scientific articles, books and magazines. As expected results and giving importance to the opinion of a specialist who makes use of the tool, we expect that Nagios will have a considerable performance with its monitoring and will indeed be qualified to be implemented in large, medium or small companies. Nagios is a flexible tool that has become a great ally of administrators, with network monitoring becoming increasingly important, it has ended up taking a significant place in the job market.
