Abstract

User experience (UX) is a term used for two decades and is defined as the experience that the product created for the people who use it. The objective of the study was to map the advertisements of vacancies with the UX theme in the Brazilian market, analyzing whether companies use the term with its legitimate definition or if they take advantage of a fad about the theme. To this end, a systematic survey was carried out by sampling the job vacancies offered to UX professionals available in the two main job vacancy channels in the country using the keywords “UX Designer” and “UX Programmer”. The period analyzed was between February 15th and March 26th, 2021 and these, 30% of the most recent offers, were selected. A total of 135 ads from portal A and 86 ads from portal B were in relation to the level of experience requested, the term they use when referring to the UX professional, which area of ​​training is required, among others. Some questions were answered, such as: what is the term they use to refer to the UX professional? and what area of ​​training do the companies of this professional? With the results it was possible to answer these questions and to identify other interesting factors.
