INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SMALL ENVIRONMENTS: A FOCUS ON THE ERP SYSTEM

Abstract

Inventories are an important part of organizations and their management needs to happen efficiently, as they can negatively impact the economy of organizations. It is important to emphasize that inventory management is a practice that comes from large companies and is little used in medium and small companies, however, the importance does not depend on the size of the organization. Using tools that bring quality is of great importance as a way to improve the organization. The objective of this study is to highlight the importance of inventory management and how the use of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system can bring benefits and improve the quality of this department. The methodology used was Bibliographic Review, with consultations in online articles. Data were collected between July and August 2022. The results show the importance of inventory management for organizations. The ERP system can bring improvements to the inventory management process and this ties quality to the organization.
