THE INFLUENCE OF EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE ON ORGANIZATIONAL CLIMATE

This article addresses emotional intelligence in the workplace, highlighting its importance for professional performance and human relations. With the advancement of innovations and globalization, emotional intelligence has become a differentiator for companies seeking to improve operational efficiency and the organizational climate. This study aims to analyze the influence of emotional intelligence in the organizational environment, as well as in leadership, seeking to understand how emotional intelligence can contribute to a more productive, collaborative and healthy work environment. The research was based on a theoretical review of books and articles by Goleman and Salovey, as well as case studies of companies. The results indicated that companies that invest in the development of employees' emotional intelligence and in the organizational climate obtain a gain in performance and efficiency, in addition to the reduction of problems such as absenteeism and presenteeism. It is concluded that emotional intelligence is essential to create a healthy and efficient organizational environment, being a competitive advantage for companies.
