Abstract

This article aims to characterize the importance of Soft Skills in a professional world, as well as the impact that social skills have on the job market on competitive advantage for individuals. This is an exploratory and qualitative research. The participants answered the questionnaire, online. The participants are Human Resources Management students from Technology College in the Alto Tietê Region in São Paulo State. The results show that the participants know about soft skills, although this knowledge is not specific. It was found, in general, that behavioral and socioemotional skills impact the professional world in a business context.
