Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming modern medicine, improving diagnostics, personalizing treatments, and improving patient management. The aim of this study was to investigate the current literature on the applications of AI in medicine, exploring its benefits, challenges, and future prospects. As a result, it is noted that AI has been significantly impacting several medical areas, while recognizing the ethical, technical, and regulatory barriers that need to be overcome for the widespread adoption of this technology. Under these conditions, it can be concluded that the future of AI in medicine is promising, with countless opportunities for innovation and improvement of health care. In addition, it is also clear that AI, together with other emerging technologies, such as biotechnology, robotics, and telemedicine, can transform the way we prevent, diagnose, and treat diseases.
