ENVIRONMENTAL LOGISTICS IN BRAZILIAN METALLURGICAL INDUSTRIES

This work comprises a bibliographical analysis of several Brazilian metallurgical industries in the same segment, with a focus on identifying sustainable and effective practices. The objective is to observe the implementation of environmental logistics in these industries with the aim of reducing the environmental impact of their operations. In this way, we seek to understand how these practices are applied and what their results are in terms of sustainability. Thus, the results demonstrated that the adoption of environmental logistics measures, such as efficient waste management, optimizing the use of natural resources and reducing pollutant emissions, is crucial to mitigating the environmental impact of metallurgical industries. Additionally, companies that have implemented such practices have reported financial benefits, such as reduced operating costs and greater energy efficiency. The conclusions point to the growing importance of environmental logistics in the context of Brazilian metallurgical industries, not only as a measure of regulatory compliance, but also as a sustainable business strategy. Therefore, the research highlights the need for awareness and commitment by companies to environmental protection and the importance of considering economic and environmental factors in an integrated manner. In summary, the study highlights that environmental logistics plays an essential role in reducing the environmental impact of metallurgical industries in Brazil, promoting sustainability and contributing to the competitiveness of these companies in a global scenario that is increasingly aware of environmental issues.
