THE IMPORTANCE OF PRODUCTION PLANNING AND CONTROL IN RELATION TO THE PRODUCTIVITY AND DIVERSITY OF RUBBER-BASED PRODUCTS

Abstract

For a company, it is vital that it adapts to the elements that arise in relation to productivity, since for the company, planning is important in all stages, especially production, supplies and storage. Bearing in mind the equity of this sector, an organization benefits from greater productivity and market capacity, when its processes are bringing positive results and therefore, production planning is one of the key parts of a company, and which will be addressed in this article. Production and control planning has a high influence on the entire production chain, being a main pillar for company management. And for this to happen, alignment with supplies and stock needs to be analytical, to the point of agreeing with the company's and market's requirements. The PCP (production planning and control) is the control of the so-called “factory floor” which is nothing more than the heart of the industries. Therefore, the main objective of this study will be to present improvements in production control planning in a rubber auto parts company in the interior of the state of São Paulo, with this, together with field research and bibliographic review, the study made it possible to demonstrate the concept to reduce stocks, in a process with a wide variety of rubber compound products, minimizing waste, increasing productivity and reducing setup time, to improve the company's results.
