ANALYSIS OF FEASIBILITY FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF AN OUTDOOR AND CONVENTIONAL POSTURE AVIARY

Currently, there is a constant growth and development of poultry, and themes such as animal welfare have been discussed more frequently. Thus, the objective of this article is to demonstrate, in a comparative way, the implantation of an outdoor laying aviary and a conventional laying aviary, and its impact on current production. The work was carried out by means of a bibliographic review and with the execution of the economic viability calculations to compare the 2 systems. The free-range breeding system expresses their natural behaviors, improves the quality of life of the birds, with better egg quality and a better production index, however, this creation represents a minimum production cost greater than 30%, resulting in eggs more expensive for the final consumer.
